Norwind Hurricane
Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for Norwind Offshore.
The CSOV is designed and built for Norwind Offshore is tailor-made for world-wide services, support, and maintenance operations at offshore wind farms.
The VARD 4 19 design is developed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway, and a highly versatile platform for all offshore windfarm support operations, focusing on onboard logistics, security, comfort, and superior operability. The vessel is equipped to provide services during both construction, operation, and maintenance of offshore windfarms.
Norwind Hurricane has a length of 85 meters, a beam of 19.5 meters, and is equipped with a height-adjustable and 3D motion-compensated gangway with elevator system from SEAONICS, a height-adjustable boat landing system, and is prepared for battery solutions. The CSOV has accommodation for 87 persons on board.
The hull of Norwind Hurricane was built at Vard Shipyards Romania, Braila and outfitted and finalized at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.
This is the second of five newbuild CSOV’s VARD is delivering to Norwegian Norwind Offshore.
