The VARD 3 05 is designed and equipped for Subsea operation duties with a high focus on good sea-keeping abilities and excellent station keeping performances. The vessel is environmentally friendly with focus on low fuel consumption and precautions in accordance with DNV’s Clean (Design) requirements are incorporated into the vessel design. The vessel is designed with redundancy according to DNV DYNPOS-AUTR requirements and with its optimized hull shape and well proven moonpool design the vessel offers excellent performance and operability even in harsh conditions.
The main activities for the VARD 3 05 are:
- Flexible pipe laying operations
- Umbilical laying operations
- Cable laying operations
- General Subsea Construction and Installation work
- ROV operation with the possibility for launching on both sides of the vessel.
The vessel is designed to operate in water depths up to 3 000 m.
