SEA Europe is the industry association representing European shipyards and maritime equipment manufacturers.

Competitiveness and sustainability

In his first statement as Chairman of SEA Europe, Alberto Maestrini expressed his commitment to reinforcing the association's role in advancing Europe’s maritime industry, particularly with regard to the forthcoming EU Industrial Maritime Strategy:

"Europe’s maritime technology industry stands at the crossroads of both immense opportunities and significant challenges. SEA Europe and its member associations and companies have successfully elevated the profile of shipyards and maritime equipment manufacturers as strategic industries for Europe. Thanks to these efforts, the European Union has committed to delivering an Industrial Maritime Strategy.

SEA Europe represents close to 100% of the European shipbuilding industry in 16 nations, encompassing the production, maintenance, repair, and conversion of all types of ships and floating structures, commercial as well as naval, including the full supply chain with the various producers
of maritime systems, equipment material, and services. 

As an NGO observer at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), CESA represents the shipbuilding industry and its supply chain from EU Member States, Norway, and Turkey.
